H.A.R.M.S. offers these tips to help you find answers to your health and safety questions.

Tips on Finding Accurate Information and Links:

To gain the most accurate perspective on any issue, consult a number of sources before drawing a conclusion. Use the web and other resources, such as a professional librarian, to help you verify the accuracy of the information you have found.

For those sites with search engines, carefully consider your search terms. For example, issues relating to aviation may be found associated with words such as airline, aviation, air travel, flight, high altitude, crew, flight attendant, pilot, passenger, jet or travel. To search for a term related to "pregnancy," also try the words "pregnant" and "reproductive".

Consider the source of your information. Why is the information provided for the consumer? Is there a chance that the provider of the information was not impartial?
